You will have significant impact on driving revenue across all clinical markets, with emphasis on a hugely under-served neuro market that has traditionally focused on hardware sales. Due to the development of new products in conjunction with the explosion of key market segments, the time is right for expansion across North America. There is very limited competition due to proprietary technology that appeals tremendously to end users (neuro clinics and hospitals) that seek to reduce their costs and improve patient comfort, while still offering world class patient care. This is a superior product line to represent!
Company: Our client is a start-up manufacturer, but is financially stable, employing nearly 20 staff members. The company’s proprietary neurological technologies are poised to explode into the EEG and cEEG marketplace. The company’s focus on research and development has always been its strength and it owns and operates all of its own manufacturing facilities. This in-house quality control is a key strategic advantage. Now, with a huge infusion of capital, sales across North America will be supported by the emergence of a strong, nation-wide sales force.
The goal and the challenge: Your objective will be to leverage your experience in neuro sales nationally with all the resources necessary for success. You will be part of the initial core sales team and will be looked upon to help guide the company forward. Your impact will be far more than that of a typical “territory sales rep.” If the thrill and energy associated with an entrepreneurial company poised to disrupt the EEG market appeals to you, this could be a great fit.
Career Trajectory: As an early hire on the commercial sales team, you will have the inside track for a national sales management role by late 2020, as the team expands, and current executives turn their focus towards international growth.
Responsibilities: Your “sales expertise” will be rewarded and appreciated unlike any other time in your career! We specifically seek hungry, ambitious professionals that can leverage existing contacts and simultaneously expand their footprint. Visionaries will understand the financial upside of working for an emerging leader with disruptive technology.
Support: The company already has a very strong technical support team, comprised of clinicians and PhD’s in neuroscience. All of the “technical assistance” you will need for product demonstrations or literature will be at your disposal. Everything you need to succeed will be provided…the company just needs you to be the sales wizard that you are!
Travel: 35% travel across the country as well as quarterly trade show attendance. Unlike typical “outside sales” positions, it will not be necessary to live in a hotel room. Much of the sales process may be performed via telephone, with travel focused on strategic follow-up rather than cold calling.
Required Experience: 4+ years selling capital equipment or disposables within the neuro market. Familiarity with neuro call points is critical, along with the ability to leverage your relationships with decision makers. It is also imperative that you understand how EEG’s are traditionally performed in order to properly demonstrate the value associated with a new approach.
Location: Anywhere in the US. Regional territories will be established in 2020, but the initial sales team will not be limited by geographical scope. Warm leads are pouring in from all over the country!
Compensation: A first year, guaranteed salary of $110k + a variable bonus plan of $40k is offered to provide ample time for product adoption. A commission plan will be introduced in 2020 and will be structured to greatly reward growth in the seeds you have planted. Income in the mid-$200’s by your second year, followed by earnings over $300k in year 3 is the trajectory. These are conservative estimates and not unrealistic. This market is poised to explode and is greatly under-penetrated.
