This is the home of the University of Arizona and a metro region of 1 million residents. Those who are fans of astronomy will be in heaven, as Tucson is where you’ll find the headquarters for the International Dark Sky Association, as well as world-class observatories like Kitt Peak and the Whipple observatory just a short drive away. You’ll also find the majestic and surreal Saguaro National Park, home to the world’s largest cacti! What is particularly interesting about this clinical opportunity is that you will be exposed to the realm of Transcranial Doppler (TCD) monitoring, with all training provided! This should appeal to your intellectual curiosity and add a bit of uniqueness to your routine in the OR.
Position details and requirements:
Clinical Requirements: Minimum of 1 year of clinical IOM experience + CNIM certification. We may consider CNIM-eligible candidates in certain circumstances.
Environment: You will be monitoring cases in 2 hospitals and 1 surgical center, only a few miles apart. No cross-town traffic to deal with here! This is a commuter’s paradise.
Call Requirements: No call – add-ons could pop up on occasion, but there is not a “typical” call rotation.
Travel: None
Scheduling: 3-4 day weeks are the norm
Case Breakdown: 100% spine
Unique Clinical Option: You will have an oppty to learn TCD monitoring with full training provided. This should prove to be an innovating and invigorating addition to your IOM skills!
Location: Tucson, AZ: This metro area is far less congested and more affordable than Phoenix yet has every amenity imaginable with a metro population of over 1 million.
Compensation: $90k-$95k base salary + quarterly bonuses + 401k + HC insurance
